The Mermaid's tail flips out of the water, making a splash.
She soon emerges out of the splendid blue water to tell her tale.
About her secluded swimming hole that she is trapped in.
She fantasized of joining her kind in the tres blue ocean.
She yearned for this greatly and found herself crying.
But the tears would only blend in with the water she swam in.
She wanted the gods to understand her pain so she swam to the top of the swimming hole and showed them her tears.
Their response was a flood that connected the swimming hole to her home.
Poor mermaids...so beautiful but so misunderstood, so curious but seemingly always contained...
